Teachers of the host school and musicians said welcome to all guests.
Hungarian teachers gave a short performance too. They are members of the Hungarian teacher choir. We enjoyed this very much.
Tuesday 10th December
Tuesday morning- opening ceremony
Very welcome, dear friends from
Hungary, Croatia, Romania,Slovakia and England.
Children present a special
Haendel- dance.
teachers observe lessons,
get a closer look to the German education system and work together with children
Only the best in class 4 took part in the third English competition at our primary school "Am Ludwigsfeld".
They did this together with all the coordinators of the partner countries. Our English partner said, she is very impressed about their knowledge.
Congratulations, children!!!
We could start after some warming- up games together with the coordinators of the project much more relaxed that competition.
Parts of this competition were to talk about themselves, their hobbies, likes and dislikes. They had to match words and picture cards, to finish a writing part and to talk about topics like "what do you know about England and Australia. Please tell us, what is different at school in these countries." You see, it was not easy. We German teachers of the subject English are very proud of them.
afternoon:
guided tour through Halle until the official restaurant visit started
Wednesday 11th December
Talentshow
What a fun for all of us. In Trowbridge/ England is it a tradition to start the day with "wake up- shake up.After the coordinator did this already in Hungary and Croatia- remember: we want to learn from each other- we started our talent show with "wu-su". All children, teachers and other staff, also our guests from a primary school in Hettstedt took part and enjoyed it very much. A big thank you to Mrs Hoole.
We listened to fantastic music and dance performances from both primary schools. Some Christmas carols helped us to think about free days, presents and time for us and our families.
Day together for Europe
Teachers presented their own countries and especially in Germany their Christmas traditions. Fun for us has been to compare the sound of the same song in German and Croatian language. Other children prepared some posters from London. It will be showed during the assembly in Trowbridge/ England.
Coordinators talk about the next tasks, the international circulating stories, recitation competition and get the invitation for the last meeting in Romania. After that we went on a day out with children and visited the local salt museum.
Salt and chocolate are famous for Halle. We could not miss the "sweet part".
But sorry mascots, we had to eat the chocolate alone. We didn't want them to get fat.
Can you see the Nebra sky disc, our coat of arms and the picture in the right hand corner? All is made by chocolate!
Very important and not forgotten: our mobility sheets
Our last dinner together in Germany .......
We provided some entertainment and you can see, we had fun.
Paddington from England is already here, and what about you?
